Why are businesses so reluctant to engage a business advisor or consultant?

Here are the five excuses that we get most often and how we debunk them.

  1. It costs too much!
What is the cost of not having a professional advisor?
Yes, we do cost good money, because we are good at what we do.  And while we may be a cost in the first 1 or 2 months, in most instances, we are making clients a lot more than our cost from month 3.
  1. Haven’t got the time!
In order to grow your business effectively, you have to spend at least 5-8 hours a week working on your business, not in it.
Usually, a good advisor can find that time in your lack of systems and processes.
  2. A mate of mine had a business advisor and he was not great
Unfortunately, like most industries, there are good operators and not so good operators.
We have advisors with proven experience and results. All our advisors have Business Management degrees or extensive Business Management training giving you extra peace of mind.
  3. What would an advisor know about my business?
You are the technical expert in your business, we are the business experts. We don’t pretend to know how to do what you do, but we absolutely know what it takes to run a successful business.
  4. I can do it myself!
If you were so good at it, why are you not getting a great return for your investment, why do you not have time for a lifestyle with your family and why are you so stressed all the time.
We can’t be good at everything.  An experienced business advisor will teach you how to be a better business person and ensure that you reach your business goals whether they be money, time or less stress – or all three.

Nothing will change, unless you change.  Engaging a professional business advisor will be a decision you will never regret.  Stop making excuses and make a decision for the future of your business, before it’s too late and you become another business statistic.
